Meet the Founder
Rachel Lang
Rachel Lang Creator and Founder of the FaceJoy technique, and published author, is a global wellness consultant with over 25 years of hands-on experience in holistic skincare, facial massage, and high-touch. Known for her signature approach to sensory driven experiences, Rachel’s work centers on the healing power of intentional human connection. Her sessions blend the unusual with the understood; they’re restorative rituals that calm the nervous system, release facial tension, and support the body’s natural glow from the inside out. The results take you from Resting bitch face to resting bliss face.
Rachel has spent decades studying facial massage techniques from around the world. Her tapestry of work draws inspiration from a wide range of global traditions (Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and Ayurvedic). Her technique strategically choreographs a blend of face sculpting, acupressure, cranial sacral therapy, lymphatic drainage, TMJ and migraine relief, and somatic stress release. Under her direction, FaceJoy offers comprehensive sessions that elevate both the physical and emotional state of being.
Rachel has dedicated her life’s work as a global spa consultant to bringing a holistic approach to spa operations. It is her mission to elevate and inspire spa therapists and leadership. She has created specialized systems that introduce concepts of experiential management emphasizing internal service techniques that “gives to the givers” . This style of service leadership reconnects spa management to the hands on therapists resulting in enriched, detailed external service. Her education workshops teach communications (sensory language), physical techniques, and motivational mentorship.
As the founder of FaceLove she hit a nerve in the ‘beauty’ industry, trailblazing facial fitness through her use of high-touch and exercise to sculpt the face. As a result she recognized for her innovative perspective, gaining notoriety though being featured in The New York Times, New York Post, Vogue, Self, Elle, New Beauty, Good Morning America, and many more.
She has created rituals for hospitality/lifestyle brands (Gansevoort, Ritz Carlton, W Hotel, Well and Good, ABC Home, Sakara) and collaborated with branding and marketing teams to offer experiences that compliment brand story through product launches and wellness activations for notable brands such as Chanel, LVMH, Living Proof, Clinique, Aveda, Athleta, Eileen Fisher, Sweaty Betty, and Bastide.
She has always had the philosophy that wellness has the power to transform communities and should be accessible and available to everyone. Her and the team have worked in collaboration with organizations such as dress for success, women’s shelters, and schools (staff appreciation) to bring the wellness experience to those who need it most. FaceJoy looks forward to doing more purposeful and charitable work in the future.
Rachel brings a depth of knowledge and intuitive touch that has earned her a loyal following. It is her grounded and nurturing approach to skin health, holistic beauty, and overall wellbeing that sets FaceJoy apart. Through every session, clients reconnect with their breath, their bodies, and their inner radiance, one healing touch at a time.
